First look at LSU football QB Sam Leavitt in purple and gold
· Yahoo Sports
LSU football signed one of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal this offseason, bringing in former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt.
The redshirt junior put together an impressive 2024 season in Tempe, earning Big 12 Freshman of the Year honors and second-team All-Big 12 honors. Leavitt led the Sun Devils to a Big 12 championship and a College Football Playoff berth that year, a significant turnaround for a program that went 3-9 the previous season.

Leavitt had a down year in 2025, largely due to injury, but the highs he reached the previous year have many believing he can help the Tigers reach some impressive heights this upcoming season.
Tiger fans haven’t gotten to see much of Leavitt this spring due to his recovery from foot surgery he underwent last fall, but LSU posted a first look at their new quarterback in the purple and gold on Thursday.

It’ll be a long wait before we see Leavitt in Tiger Stadium, but it’s exciting to get an early look at the Tigers’ new star.
