Four-star running back Ty Keys committed to Miami, announcing his decision on social media.
“With prayer and family discussion, I’ve (chosen) my next home,” Keys wrote on social media. “It’s all about the (U).”
Keys, a Poplarville, Mississippi, native picked the Hurricanes over offers from Alabama, Florida State and Ole Miss, among others.
Keys is listed as the No. 14 running back and No. 213 player in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Keys is listed at 6-1 and 190 pounds. He racked up an eye-popping 3,285 rushing yards and 45 touchdowns on 301 carries last season; Poplarville High only threw the ball 45 times in 13 games. He has 5,072 rushing yards and 78 touchdowns in his high school career. Keys broke the state single-game rushing record, notching 546 yards and eight touchdowns last September.
Keys was Mississippi’s Class 4A Mr. Football and was picked as the “Alpha Dog” of The Opening New Orleans regional earlier this year. Keys is a multi-sport athlete, also starring for his high school baseball team.
