Bud Clark was a notable selection for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Clark recorded four interceptions as well as seven passes defensed in 2025 at TCU. The Louisiana native also registered a sack on the year. Clark was a highly-touted safety entering this year's draft. The Seahawks saw his name on the board with the No. 64 overall pick in the second round of the draft, and made the decision to add him to their secondary.

According to ESPN's Matt Miller, the Seahawks' decision was a sound one, the 25th-best pick in the draft at that.

"Clark makes plays in the run game with his downhill ability, but in Seattle he should be seen as a potential Coby Bryant replacement who will allow Nick Emmanwori to continue to roam and make plays," Miller said.

The Seahawks entered the 2026 NFL offseason as the defending Super Bowl champions. Seattle had a pressing need at safety following Bryant's departure in free agency.

Seattle managed to bring in Clark to fill major shoes in the secondary. The Seahawks' championship makeup figures to benefit the young safety and potentially maximize his potential from the onset of his career.
