Packers double dip on cornerback, add Domani Jackson in 2026 NFL Draft
· Yahoo Sports
The Green Bay Packers hit the cornerback position twice in the 2026 draft, starting with their second-round selection of Brandon Cisse of South Carolina and then doubling down with the drafting of Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson in the sixth round. Jackson came into the year projected as a top-50 selection before missing games due to an injured rib. He returned to play full-time for the Crimson Tide in the postseason.

We wrote a full scouting report on Jackson, who compares himself to Christian Gonzalez, back in January. The short of it is that the USC transfer is extremely athletic, tying the California 100-meter record as a prep at 10.25 seconds. He’s a click-and-close cornerback, which should be a major premium in Jonathan Gannon’s defense. The downside is that from an off-coverage standpoint, he can take some bad angles in pursuit, even though he’s more than willing as a tackler.
At the time of his selection, Jackson was the second-ranked cornerback left on the consensus draft board, only behind Iowa’s TJ Hall. For what it’s worth, Bleacher Report graded the 6’1”, 194-pound cornerback with 4.41-second speed as a fourth-round pick.
