Caleb Banks may have been a reach by the Minnesota Vikings with the 18th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft's first round, but only time will tell that for sure.

What's more certain is that Banks is bringing some crazy pets to Minnesota with him.

Banks spoke with reporters on Friday and mentioned four pets that'll be making the trip:

  • A python
  • Another python
  • A chameleon
  • A cane corso

The Athletic's Alec Lewis adds that a tarantula was also mentioned.

Excuse us, but what?

That's certainly not the way every NFL player would decide to spend their money, but apparently Banks is really into the exotic pets.

Pythons are huge snakes.

Chameleons actually just seem kind of cool, and Banks' chameleon will have to get adapted to Minnesota cold eventually.

A cane corso is a specific breed of mastiff, and it's one of the largest dogs you'll ever see.

A tarantula might be the one that would put this over the top, though. Seems a bit much.

This also has us wondering -- do these pets get along? Does the huge dog cuddle up with the pythons?

There are plenty more questions to ask Banks -- as long as he keeps those pets contained and far away from us.
