After a club-record 19th consecutive victory in the Women's Bundesliga, the Munich side can no longer be knocked off top spot with four matches still to play.
The success comes three days after the Bayern men retained their title. Both sides are still in the running for every trophy this season and are likely to hold a joint party at the city hall at some point.
It is a fourth straight women's championship for Bayern and eighth overall.
Bayern women's director Bianca Rech told DAZN: “Winning never gets boring. Four consecutive German championships is incredible. You have to savour moments like these.”
The winning goal was scored by substitute Giulia Gwinn on 84 minutes following her comeback from a shoulder injury sustained captaining Germany this month.
Union's women, who will be coached by current men's interim boss Marie-Louise Eta for next season, had twice pegged back the Bavarians.
Bayern's women next have a Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona on Saturday.
“This is incredible and really special,” said Barbara Dunst, who scored the second.
“We’ve got another big game coming up in the next few days. So we’ll hold off on the celebrations for now.”
They also face big rivals VfL Wolfsburg in the women's German Cup final on May 14.
