Baby dies after found inside vehicle in Leslieville

A baby who was found without vital signs inside a vehicle on Monday in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood has died.
Toronto Police responded to the area of Jones Ave. and Queen St. E. at 4:45 p.m. for a medical call. The officers found a baby in a vehicle without vital signs, according to a CP24 report.

Paramedics applied life-saving measures on the baby before the child was rushed to the hospital. The baby was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The parents of the child were at the hospital with the baby, whose age and gender were not immediately released.
“We understand that this is a very tragic and unfortunate incident,” Toronto Police said in a statement, per CP24 .
Police are still investigating the matter, with no further details being released.
