According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the San Siro giants are now ready to resume negotiations over a new deal.
It has not been a memorable season for Marcus Thuram, but the Frenchman appears to have hit his stride at the tail-end of the campaign.
Indeed, the 28-year-old has netted just 15 goals in 38 competitive appearances this term, finding the net only ten times in 25 Serie A games.
However, the former Borussia Monchengladbach center-forward has scored three times in his last two league outings.
Furthermore, his brace against Como on Sunday saw Inter bounce back from a two-goal deficit to win 4-3 at the Sinigaglia Stadium.
Inter Milan to Offer Marcus Thuram Contract Renewal
Thuram’s current contract at San Siro runs until 2028. Moreover, there’s a release clause that would allow him to leave for €85 million in the summer.
Meanwhile, several Saudi Pro League clubs have set their sights on the French goal-getter.
In addition to drawing inquiries from the desert, Thuram has become a potential target for Premier League powerhouse Newcastle United.
However, Thuram’s recent resurgence could earn him a new contract in Milan, with Inter now looking to extend his deal.
