Travis Branham of 247 Sports was first to report the news.

A 6-foot-8 stretch forward, Betsey averaged 6.7 points and 2.8 rebounds across 31 games for the Orange as a sophomore this past season, shooting a team-high 40.7% from 3-point range.

In ACC play, Betsey connected on 44% of his triples, ranking No. 4 among all conference players.

Prior to Syracuse, the former 4-star, top-50 prep recruit spent a year at Cincinnati, giving him some familiarity with the Big 12.

Betsey’s combination of size and shooting proficiency will be a welcome addition to BYU’s rotation, as the Cougars need to achieve a more successful perimeter attack on offense next season.
