With the 2026 NFL draft just two weeks away, ESPN analysts Jordan Reid and Matt Miller dropped their latest intel on every team’s draft plans.
This is what they’ve gathered about the Eagles, who own the No. 23 pick in the first round.
“Circle the Eagles as a team that could get aggressive in trading up for a receiver,” Reid wrote. “... GM Howie Roseman is notorious for drafting replacements for veterans a year in advance.”
Roseman is also notorious for trading up for top talent. The Eagles have moved up in the first round in four of the last five drafts, securing DeVonta Smith (2021), Jordan Davis (2022), Jalen Carter (2023) and Jihaad Campbell (2025).
Wide receiver has emerged as a potential first-round priority with Brown’s future up in the air. Trade talks have surrounded Brown all offseason, and some expect the Eagles to deal Brown after June 1, when the dead cap hit is significantly less.
That means the Eagles, if they decide to put offensive tackle and other needs on the back-burner, could plan ahead for a Brown trade by drafting a first-round receiver.

ESPN has identified Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson as a “player to watch.” The Athletic’s Dane Brugler ranked Tyson as the No. 20 prospect.
Many mock drafts have him going earlier than that. In our most recent mock, we had Tyson landing at No. 12 overall.
But there’s a chance Tyson will slip into a range Roseman can go and get him.
Outside of Tyson, the Eagles have also hosted Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. on a top-30 visit. They’ve also been linked to Washington’s Denzel Boston.
We’ll see in a couple of weeks what the Eagles decide to do.
