The Cincinnati Bengals announced they waived Matt Lee, leaving the team without a backup center on its depth chart.

Lee, a seventh-round pick of the Bengals in the 2024 NFL Draft, played in five games for the team during the 2025 season after playing in 17 games as a rookie.
Earlier in the week, the New York Giants signed former Bengals offensive lineman Lucas Patrick. Patrick was among 2025 Bengals to become eligible for free agency at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
Starting center Ted Karras has played 10 NFL seasons, four with the Bengals. He has started all 67 games in which he's played for Cincinnati.
