Nikola Vucevic reveals Boston Celtics targeted Toronto Raptors tilt for return from injury
· Yahoo Sports
It might not have been the return to play that Boston Celtics big man Nikola Vucevic would have wanted as he played for Boston for the first time since breaking his ring finger just weeks into his Celtics tenure. But despite logging a mere 4 points, as many rebounds, and an assist in 13 minutes coming off the bench, it was still clear that the Montenegrin center was still happy to be back on the court.
There had been some uncertainty about his return coming today – at least, on the injury report, with a 'questionable tag coming into the game – but per the man himself, he and his team had been eyeing this contest vs. the Toronto Raptors as a target date for some time.

"That was kind of the plan from the beginning, after I got the surgery," said Vucevic. "We had this game at the four-week mark, so we kind of had this day in mind, that’s how the plan went."
"I felt pretty good the week leading up to today," he added, as evidenced by his increased visibility as shootaround in recent days. "Did some on-court stuff with my right hand."
"On Friday, I was able to scrimmage a little bit, get up and down the court, and felt pretty good -- I just felt like it was good enough for me to get out and play."
