New Steelers safety Jaquan Brisker announces jersey number

· Yahoo Sports

Born and raised in the Steel City, there's a new safety on the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense — former Chicago Bear Jaquan Brisker. And his newly revealed jersey number pays homage to his Yinzer roots.

On Monday, Brisker told reporters that he's planning to wear No. 3 with the Steelers — the same number he wore at Gateway High School in Monroeville.

Brisker, born in Pittsburgh, began his collegiate football career at Lackawanna College in 2017 before transferring to Penn State in 2019, where he remained until he was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

One of the best tackling safeties in the NFL, Brisker will be a valuable addition to a secondary featuring Joey Porter Jr., Jamel Dean, Asante Samuel Jr., Jalen Ramsey, and DeShon Elliott.
