Black Hills State men prep for Sweet 16 game

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Black Hills State men picked up a win on Sunday to advance to the South Central Regional Final.

They’re one of 16 teams remaining in the national tournament. The Yellow Jackets earned an 18 point win over St. Mary’s to advance. They were led by five players who scored in double figures, leading to a balanced victory.

“We had great contributions from all sorts of guys on our team, on down the list,” coach Ryan Thompson said. “I thought everyone who played contributed in a positive way. I’m proud of this group and excited to move on.”

Black Hills State will play Dallas Baptist on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a spot in the Elite Eight.
