Los Angeles marathon weekend is here. Runners are preparing for the L.A. Marathon this Sunday, which will wind through some of Southern California's most famous sights.

Street closures will be in place for Sunday's marathon along a route that runs from Chavez Ravine to the finish line in Century City.

Runners will set out on the 26.2-mile course beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday at the starting line at Dodger Stadium before winding its way through Hollywood, along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood and Beverly Hills to the finish line at Santa Monica and Avenue of the Stars, the ultimate goal of an estimated 25,000 participants expected for the long-distance run.
Road closures along the route will begin at 7 a.m. and move progressively along as the event proceeds.
No freeways will see closures, but motorists should expect delays as some ramps along the 101, 405 and 110 freeways will be unavailable. A list of freeway ramp closures is available here.
