Broncos met 4 defensive linemen at NFL combine, including a 1st-round prospect

· Yahoo Sports

With John Franklin-Myers expected to leave during NFL free agency next week, the Denver Broncos are doing their homework on defensive linemen in this year's NFL draft.

The Broncos met with at least three interior defensive linemen — including a first-round prospect — and one edge defender at the NFL combine last month. Most notable among those players was Florida's Caleb Banks.

Banks (6-6, 330 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 5.04 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.76 seconds at the combine, impressive times for a player of his size. Before missing most of the 2025 season due to injury, Banks totaled 4.5 sacks in 12 games with the Gators in 2024. He could be an option for Denver at pick No. 30, although some mock drafts now have him going off the board higher than that.

The Broncos also met with Day 2 prospects Christen Miller and Tim Keenan, as well as late-round edge defender Logan Fano.

The 2026 NFL draft will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25. After receiving two compensatory picks, Denver will hold nine selections this spring.
