Wide receiver Bryce Lance has flown under the radar, given that he played his collegiate career at North Dakota State. Jeff Caldwell started his career at Lindenwood and finished with one season at Cincinnati.

Both players are good prospects, but the Combine was intended for them because it gave them a prominent stage to show off to scouts. And they succeeded. Both Lance and Caldwell showed off their elite athleticism and even made some Combine history in the process.

Here is more on how Lance and Caldwell joined Metcalf in the NFL Combine record books.

Bryce Lance and Jeff Caldwell join DK Metcalf in NFL Combine club

Bryce Lance and Jeff Caldwell both ran sub-4.35 40-yard dashes. Lance was clocked at 4.34, while Caldwell came in at a 4.31 official time. Each of the receivers also impressed at the vertical jump. Lance leapt 41.5" in the air for his vertical jump, and Caldwell had an official height of 42" for his attempt.

Lance and Caldwell's performances, and given that they are both taller than 6-foot-3, actually put them in the Combine history books. The two wide receivers joined Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf as the only three wide receivers in Combine history to run a sub-4.35 40 and have a vertical of at least 40" while being 6-foot-3 or taller.
