Reading vs Bradford City: 2025/26 Match Preview
· Yahoo Sports
Well, that was annoying. Reading seem to have this thing where, once we go one goal up, we sit back and do nothing.

That second half against Port Vale was one of the worst performances I have seen from Reading since the game against Peterborough United earlier in the season. The hosts deserved a goal, but in the game itself, neither team deserved anything. It was a poor performance from both sides and a draw was probably the fair result.
Bradford City’s last result was a 1-0 win against Burton Albion. That seems to be a difficult thing at the minute, with the Brewers getting good results against the top-six sides this season. Bradford are flying high and it is looking very likely they are going to get the chance to fight for back-to-back promotions.
The head-to-head between the two is in the visitors’ favour, with 19 Reading wins, 19 draws and 23 Bradford victories. The last result went in Bradford’s favour with a 2-0 win at the University of Bradford Stadium.
In this preview I will mention more players who have played for both and I will give my predictions.

(More) players who have played for both
As you guys can tell, I like this segment, even if Reading themselves have copied me this year 😊.
Here are three more players who have played for both Reading and Bradford:
Ryan East played one first-team game for Reading in 2018/19, managing neither a goal nor an assist.
He later signed for Bradford, making 26 appearances, managing two assists.
Goalkeeper Phil Whitehead played 94 games for the Royals between 1999 and 2003. He previously played six games for Bradford, all the way back in 1992.
Finally, current Bradford player Sam Walker. He made 14 appearances for Reading between 2018 and 2020.
He signed for Bradford in 2023 and has made 110 appearances, not managing an assist. He will be the starting goalkeeper for the visitors on Saturday.
My lineup
Joel Pereira will start in goal.
Paudie O’Connor, Derrick Williams and Benn Ward will make up the back three.
Ryan Nyambe, Lewis Wing, Liam Fraser, Kamari Doyle and Kadan Young will be the midfield.
Jack Marriott and Will Keane will be the front line.
Score prediction: 1-0 Reading!
Good luck to those who are going to the game!
Come on you Royals!
