Retro Game of The Week

This week’s Retro Game Of the Week is another one from the early Sark days, and one I remember very fondly because I remember listening to it on the radio on the way home from somewhere and getting the news that neither Matt Barkley nor Taylor Mays would be suiting up in that game for the Trojans. I still didn’t like our chances, why would I? This was Pete Carroll, this was the invincible Southern Cal! This was the Southern Cal which was at the top of the PAC 10 for a better part of the decade. When Folk nailed that field goal, oh man. It was the first time in my life that I saw a Husky program that actually won the big games. That wouldn’t continue, as a whooping on the Farm against Stanford the next week brought the team back down to Earth, but I got my first taste for winning football, and I wanted more! I still do!

That’s all for today, so thank you for making Dots a part of your morning, and as always, Go Dawgs!
