Luis Díaz continues to dazzle Bayern Munich fans with his incredible combination of speed, footwork, intensity, and an engine for days. His relentless pressing, combined with his defensive work and elite positioning, also makes him one of the most complete wingers in football. Bayern acquired the signing of the season so far from Liverpool, a club that ended up signing Bayern’s long-term transfer target Florian Wirtz.
Funny how things play out sometimes.
In a Sky Germany interview with Kerry Hau (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Diaz surmised things worked out the way they did for a reason.
“There must have been reasons why Florian didn’t come here in the end. Now I’m here, and thank God things turned out this way. I’m very happy and grateful,” Díaz said.

Díaz has 19 goals and 15 assists across all competitions for Bayern Munich this season. And we are in February. Florian Wirtz, a superb player in his own right, has six goals and eight assists across all competitions for Liverpool.
